Anyway, 3 months ago or so I started taking fish oil daily and my skin has never ever been better. The main improvement I noticed was that breakouts (even hormonal) have been prevented. Every few weeks I suffered from deep cystic pimples that left me with lots of hyperpigmentation, or tons of tiny bumps along my cheeks.
Now, even if a few small bumps show up around my period, they clear up before turning into a big breakout or becoming bigger. I’m just amazed and pleased at what a fish oil supplement (and maybe multivitamin?) have done to help my skin, it’s honestly a world of difference.
Now, I’m not totally product-free but my routine has become so much simpler. Here’s what I’ve been doing: Daily multivitamin. Daily fish oil. Showering BEFORE bed. Hyaluronic acid morning & night. Pure aloe gel (I dump some on a cotton ball & put it on when my skin feels dry).
Has anyone else noticed a major improvement after adding in multivitamin and/or fish oil? I’m just curious.” – http://Reddit.com/purplemoss
A note about fish oil: Most of the time, fish oil is made from cod liver — this is the simplest and the cheapest way. But it’s definitely not the best one. Fish oil made of the meat and the muscle of the fish is much more beneficial. It’s best if fish like salmon were used to make it. So, what brand should I buy?
When it comes to choosing a brand, it comes down to two things:
1. That they are an IFOS certified brand and
2. That they are of triglyceride form. In order to reap the cognitive benefits of fish oils, they must be of the triglyceride form. .
